Mark Jenkins is an artist most widely known for his street installations. He began in Rio de Janeiro in 2003, making molds of himself out of tape that he placed in the Copacabana neighborhood. In 2005 he started working with Sandra Fernandez under the name Glazed Paradise, and and exploring other figures like the Storker Project. In 2006 they started dressing the tape casts, which began the Embed series — placing camouflaged figures into the street so they read as real people rather than art. Since then they have installed work in cities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, including museum and gallery exhibitions, and continues to teach workshops on the method. He has collaborated with Greenpeace, French Red Cross, and CALM.
